Julie A. Gonzalez-Herrera D.C.
Dr. Julie Gonzalez-Herrera is a Rio Grande Valley native, born in McAllen, TX. She claims Texas as home, growing up in Roma, Texas. Dr. Gonzalez graduated from Roma High School, Class of 2007. She earned an Associate Degree from South Texas College in Chemistry and held a prestigious membership as a Rio Grande Valley Scholar. She graduated from the University of Texas—Pan American in 2012 where she achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Pre-Med.
Dr. Gonzalez-Herrera earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) in Pasadena, Texas, December 2015. Prior to graduating with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Gonzalez began her continuing education studies in Pre-natal and Pediatric care with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is Webster Technique certified.
Kids have always been her passion, for as a Pre-med student, Dr. Gonzalez-Herrera was solely interested in pursuing a medical doctor education to become an obstetrician and gynecologist. In her senior year at UTPA, with the realization that the hospital setting was just not at all for her. A role in healthcare and helping others remained a constant desire of hers, however, she wanted a conservative form of healthcare that chooses to care for patients and correct the cause and not just the symptom.
Prior to opening Family Tree Chiropractic, Dr. Gonzalez-Herrera had been serving the Magnolia and surrounding areas for 3.5 years as a chiropractor in a busy chiropractic office. In October 2019, she moved to Cypress and pursued her dream of starting the Family Tree Chiropractic. She has a devoted husband who is extremely supportive and is blessed to be a mom to an adventurous and loving toddler. Dr. Gonzalez-Herrera is also a bonus mom to a sweet and artistic teenage girl and a handsome athletic pre-teen year old boy.
